Agreed, it's expedient to study more practical subjects within the scope of our restrictive education system, which railroads our children far too early to narrow their focus by choosing only three fields at A-level. But do we really need to be so utilitarian? Does cultural advancement have no place within the remit of education? The Government's decision to rescind the compulsory status of at least one bloody foreign language at GC Sesamestreet E level was maybe the straw that broke this camel's back. Top universities following suit doesn't help matters either.
More ammunition to the French et al to help them tar us with the same brush of inward-looking monoculturalism as they do the septics. Well done, you horde of retards.
