As Obama manfully dons his rubber gloves, bucket and mop, and prepares to enter the horrors of the monkeyhouse, it's time for varying retrospectives on the misbegotten reign of the most disastrous leader the US have inflicted on the world in living memory. There's no reason to view critique of Bush's many sins as being incompatible with recollecting the choicest cuts of his tenure - like that of any fully rounded simian, Dubya's success needs to be understood as much through remembering his backers' disregard of intellect as their self-serving jingoism.
