The Sins of Our Fathers

Is everything we believe about the principles underlying gene heredity wrong? Or have the creationist nutjobs just found a far subtler, more insidious angle of attack against an adversary they cannot hope to defeat, only undermine?
"A single period of extreme overeating in the midst of the usual short supply, researchers found, could cause a man's grandsons to die an average of 32 years earlier than if his childhood food intake had been steadier."
This gives me a headache, and for that I have to blame my grandfather. Apparently.
