Blogs Are Pants

This week I have mainly come to the conclusion that blogs like this are a bit pointless for the following reasons:
1. You should really just commit your better writing to paper. A lot faster, and it does provide plenty of opportunity for revision once you're done with your little frenzy of thoughts.
2. This particular one has crap link-ups for invites...thare's virtually no getting through, which does rather detract from the point of actually having a discussion forum.
3. Let's face it, most people do e-mails because it's as automatic as answering the telephone...and you can keep it as short as you like.
4. They can easily become ego-wank exercises for bad correspondents...I put something on there, therefore it must be read by someone!
5. I hate typing. It's like being at work. I have ten left little fingers, which doesn't help.

And a few reasons why they're pointful:
1. You're an IT type guy, which can give you bags of time at a PC and lots of fun links to put on yours, partly due to your extended virtual web family (Dr. Jones!)
2. You do something really interesting, like live in an exotic environment vis-a-vis your prospective readership. (Gyppo!)
3. You type like a demon, nay, a fury.

I'll keep this active for links for the mo, and save the actual verbal self-gratification for my soiled little notebooks until further notice.
