You're probably wondering why I bothered coming back after a year...
Last night saw the start of a new low in post-post-modern wit on British TV (a category distinct from, say, The Good Life or any Scottish sketch show, which, to give them their fair dues, were also utterly appalling). I refer to Modern Toss, a melange of stick men animations and saying 'twat'. The effect probably wouldn't have been as bad if I hadn't just read that, on the back of mutilating The Office (thanks, Gervais, you suck cock, to insult you in American), the septics are remaking Nighty Night for their MillerLite palate. Dear God.

Good golly - how will they ever get Nighty Night past the dopes in suits who decided to cut all of Billy Conolly's ad-libbed stuff from the sitcom he did over there (called - you guessed it - "Billy").
Maybe if they had it made by the same folk who do the wonderful Curb Your Ethusiasm it might stand a chance ...
