Julian Baggini, and it's a neat new riposte for the Jehovah's-at-the-doorstep situation, to be sure. A cogent argument concludes:
"choices become freer the more they are the result of our own capacity to reflect on and assess facts and arguments. Beliefs based on ignorance or whim are thus less freely chosen than those held in full knowledge and on reflection"
More in this vein, please. Although I suppose the beetroot is the root of all evil for God Squadders as much as for sane people, so the parallel may fall on deaf ears.
